Evidence strength levels

Use consistent evidence grades when documenting GitHub achievement behaviour.

Official

Directly stated by GitHub in maintained documentation, a GitHub-owned product publication, or a preserved first-party document that records a completed historical programme. Archived material must be identified as historical and must not be presented as a current mutable contract.

Confirmed

Independently reproduced under recorded conditions with sufficient dated evidence and attribution controls.

Observed

Seen in credible public examples but not yet independently reproduced across the required conditions.

Community reported

Reported by users or third-party references without sufficient direct verification.

Unknown

Plausible but unsupported or materially contradicted. Do not present as fact.

Always record the verification date, preserve limitations, and link the strongest available source.
