Install, operate and diagnose the Toolkit

Start with the operating model, then use the feature guidance, confirmed shortcuts and troubleshooting paths below.

v7 native Toolkit boundary

The One We Knew Before

Version 7 removes the copied requirements, call-window, call-list and enhanced transport-request engines completely. Their settings, stored state, observers, scheduling and DOM rewriting no longer initialise.

What remains

Mission Age map timers, Mission Value, native Patient Transport Sweep, Transport Watcher, Resource Gap, vehicle identity, map utilities, financial intelligence, themes and responsive layouts remain supported.

Settings migration

Existing retained settings load normally. Obsolete mission-window settings are discarded during state normalisation without requiring a full reset.

Installation

Install through TKB

Install Tampermonkey or a compatible userscript manager, open the official TKB Toolkit page, review permissions and confirm installation. The TKB Website is the only supported installation and automatic-update channel.

First launch

Open MissionChief and use the map command button. Core controls load first; larger panels and monitors are constructed only when required.

Operating model

Persistent controls

Feature state, theme, operating mode and toolbar state are retained. Export settings before substantial browser or device changes.

Map-first behaviour

The Toolkit adds summaries, overlays and shortcuts around MissionChief rather than replacing its native mission windows or mission list.

Mission and transport systems

Mission Age map timers

Compact timer badges appear above personal missions and can be toggled with shortcut 6.

Mission Value

Mission Value displays a verified value, hides unavailable values and stays clear of native controls.

Transport Watcher

Transport Watcher identifies patient or prisoner transport-required missions without replacing MissionChief controls.

Patient Transport Sweep

The manual bounded alliance workflow discovers current missions from live map markers or, on iOS, a deliberate current-payload refresh; fallback entries require positive alliance ownership. It excludes the signed-in player's vehicles and uses MissionChief's native vehicle-window discharge control for one verified eligible ambulance at a time. Its final aggregate report persists until dismissed or replaced; when a valid Discord webhook is already saved, the same privacy-safe snapshot posts once automatically and delivery failure never changes the sweep result.

Fleet, map and finance

Resource Gap

Compares mission demand with personal vehicle context inside a configurable radius.

Coverage rings

Coverage rings provide geographic range context without installing a document-wide heat overlay.

Smart Bookmark Labels

Automatically shortens labels while retaining the full name through tooltips or touch previews.

Financial intelligence

Reconciles income, spending and variance and can send Simple, Informative or The Wolf reports to a saved Discord webhook.

Settings and recovery

Import and export

Move configuration between Desktop, Tablet and iOS. Exports may contain a saved Discord webhook and must remain private.

Reset strategy

Export first, reset only the affected feature where possible and test with the default Map Command interface before a full reset.

Keyboard shortcuts

Confirmed global shortcuts in the current Toolkit release. Inputs and editable fields remain protected from accidental activation.

Troubleshooting

MissionChief feels slow immediately after page load

  1. Confirm the installed version is current
  2. Allow idle bootstrap to complete
  3. Enable Economy Mode on lower-power devices
  4. Compare with the Toolkit disabled and capture startup metrics

A button or panel is missing

  1. Reload MissionChief once
  2. Confirm the correct operating mode
  3. Check whether the toolbar is collapsed
  4. Report browser, userscript manager and Toolkit versions

A native mission or vehicle control is unavailable

  1. Allow the MissionChief window to finish loading
  2. Confirm the control is visible without the Toolkit
  3. Reload the active mission or vehicle window once
  4. Report the exact route and missing native control

Settings did not carry to another device

  1. Export from the original device
  2. Import the complete timestamped file
  3. Confirm the target operating mode
  4. Reload MissionChief once
Performance reports should include the Toolkit version, browser, userscript manager, device, mission and vehicle scale, enabled features and window.__MCMS_STARTUP_METRICS__.

Known issues and operational notes

No release-blocking issue is recorded for the current verified release

Release channels and integrity state remain visible on the status page and in GitHub.

MissionChief interface changes can affect selectors

A live MissionChief markup change may require a userscript update even where static selector contracts remain green.

Large overlays have a deliberate performance cost

Coverage and monitoring systems should be enabled when operationally useful rather than left active on low-power devices.
