Missions and Dispatching

Purpose

This section will document how missions generate, scale and resolve, and how responding, on-scene and still-required resources should be interpreted.

Planned coverage

  • Mission generation
  • Mission requirements
  • Additional and probabilistic requirements
  • Responding versus on-scene resources
  • Patients, prisoners and transports
  • Follow-up missions
  • Mission expansion and escalation
  • Shared and alliance missions
  • Dispatch Centre organisation
  • Dispatch rules and automation tools

Data requirement

Each mission record should eventually expose:

  • canonical UK name;
  • known aliases;
  • mission identifier;
  • service category;
  • guaranteed requirements;
  • probabilistic requirements;
  • patient and prisoner behaviour;
  • transport destinations;
  • average and maximum reward where known;
  • verification date and evidence source.
